Refugee Apostolate – Saturdays Oct and Nov.  We’d like to pick a couple Saturdays to help at the Our Lady of Hope Center in Worcester with data entry.  Sign up for a Saturday or two and we’ll find out their greatest need and what weeks will work best for those volunteering.

November

Annual Christmas bazaar  -  Thursday October 30th  starting at 5:30pm.  Help will be needed for the evening of set up.  The more helpers, the earlier we’ll finish.   On the morning of Saturday November 1st (bazaar day)  we’ll need help with last minute prep before we open, during the day to help with tables, and after the event for clean up.  Clean up begins about 3pm and is usually done within about an hour. 

Annual Thanksgiving Dinner for Senior Citizens    -  (I think it’s Nov. 23rd – will confirm)  We would help set up the hall, and do various jobs as needed throughout the dinner.  When the dinner is finished, we will help clean up.  I will confirm the date this week.  We will begin at 8am.

January

Souper Bowl of Caring

Superbowl Sunday Annual collection of food and food pantry items.  Collected at all masses on Superbowl weekend.  Items and money are accepted.  After the event the items and money is counted and donated to the local food pantry in Northbridge.  People will be needed to present at masses, be at masses to collect the food, be available to count items and money and deliver items to the food bank.

March

First communion/confirmation breakfast   March 29th @ 9:30am  We’ll be helping to prepare the food for the breakfast,  Setting up tables and such, and refilling the buffet dishes as necessary.   After the communion and confirmation candidates have finished, you will be able to eat to your hearts content before we clean up and go home.
